Security in storage is mostly about getting simple things right every single time: who gets in, what is watching, how things are packed and how they are stacked.
Six layers of protection
Restricted access
Only our staff enter the storage area. Your goods are released only to you or people you authorise.
Pest management
Regular pest control and housekeeping in the warehouse.
Proper packing
Furniture wrapped in breathable material, fragile items packed separately, everything labelled.
Sensible stacking
Heavy items at the bottom. Nothing heavy on upholstery, mattresses or glass.
Item list
What we collect is listed at pickup, so both sides know exactly what is in storage.
What you can do on your side
- Store things clean and completely dry
- Treat furniture for termites or bed bugs first if your home has had them
- Empty drawers and cupboards
- Photograph expensive pieces before they are wrapped
- Tell us who else may request deliveries
What not to put in storage
- Jewellery, cash and original documents (use a bank locker)
- Gas cylinders, fuel, paint thinners or anything flammable
- Food, plants or anything perishable
Safety questions
What happens if something is damaged?
Tell us as soon as you notice it, with photos, and compare against the item list from pickup. We look into every report. For how to prevent damage in the first place, read will my things get damaged in storage?
Can I get bed bugs or termites from storage?
The warehouse is pest-managed. Pests usually travel in with infested furniture, so if your home has had termites or bed bugs, treat the furniture before it is stored.
Who can take my goods out?
Only you, or people you have told us about in advance. We confirm with them before releasing anything.
What about very valuable items?
Keep jewellery, cash and original documents in a bank locker. For expensive furniture, art or electronics, tell us before pickup so we can talk you through packing and options.
