DLF Phases 1 to 4 were among the first private colonies in Gurgaon. Many of the original kothis are now being pulled down and rebuilt as modern floors. The family either moves into a rented flat for the duration or splits between relatives, and the contents of a large house need somewhere to go.
These homes hold decades of furniture: heavy wooden almirahs, dowry sets, crockery, books, paintings and the odd piano. A rental flat rarely has room for all of it, so the bulk goes to storage and only daily essentials move with the family.

What to plan for in older DLF homes
- Older houses often have narrow staircases and heavy solid-wood furniture. Some almirahs and beds have to be opened up to come down. We dismantle and label the parts, and put them back together on delivery.
- Lanes in some blocks are narrow and parking is tight. We may bring a smaller vehicle for the first loads or ask for a time when cars can be moved.
- For rebuilds, plan packing before the demolition contractor’s start date. We suggest booking two weeks ahead.

Questions about storage in DLF Phases 1–4
Can you store the contents of a full house for over a year?
Yes. Long stays are common for rebuild projects in DLF Phases 1 to 4. Billing stays monthly, so if construction runs late you simply continue, and if it finishes early you stop.
Will you dismantle heavy wooden furniture?
Yes. Beds, almirahs and large tables are dismantled where needed. Parts and screws are bagged and labelled so the same pieces go back together on delivery.
Can part of my goods go to my rental flat and the rest to storage?
Yes. Tell us what goes where before packing day. We label the two lots differently and plan the trips so both are done the same day where possible.
Do you handle the move itself?
